I am working in a pharma company and know Delhi from more than 22 years as of now. Delhi is just not a city but it is a book - a book which narrates the history of India. The city was built and destroyed seven times and went through the pain of being built and rebuilt but Today as the capital of India Delhi is the seat of administration and the monuments. It is correctly said that Delhi is a city of people with heart. Delhi has many branded Foreigners choice as well as Indians choice luxury 5 star hotels like Ashoka Hotel, Le Meridien, Hyatt Regency, Park Royal Intercontinental, Taj, etc.. It has many Historical Buildings as well as tourist and local citizen choice like Highest stone tower Qutub Minar, Lal Qila, our Prestige India Gate. It has many tourist place like Lotus Temple, Jama Masjid, Purana Qila, Dolls Museum, National Rail Museum, Science Museum etc. Most important Premises i.e Parliament, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Supreme Court etc. I think its too much and one thing is more earlier there were very

manish your city guide
Hi I am Manish and have lived in and traveled across Delhi for about 27 years now. While North Delhi has bequeathed most of the Redstone-forty architecture - Red Fort, some traces of the same can be discovered in South Delhi as well - shambled Tughlaqabad fort, Hauz Khas, Mehrauli, etc. North Delhi is where one can really cherish the lazy charm of Delhi - the sinfully mouth-watering paranthas and jalebi's at the Parantha Wali Gali, the ultra traditional haute couture center at Chandni Chownk and the ceremonial Red Fort. The Central Delhi is all India Gate (that's also the epicenter of Delhi), surrounded by Connaught Place (the only new age marketplace food court within the construct the British pillar dominated architecture) and under resurrection, Old Fort. With the air-conditioned Metro railways coming up (friends tell me it kicks the US and the British metro system in their butts big time!), the public transportation has become way too much faster and fun.Love Delhi, now and forever!

Naveen your city guide
Hi I am Naveen, I feel the Delhi which I knew and grew up with love every part of Delhi Old Delhi when you go there you will find the beauty of food, sweet, and the mixture of old and new architecture. Kashmiri gate and Chandni Chook were the centers of Social life. A drive to Qutob Minar is delightful while driving you will find open spaces punctuated by monuments. If you go to heart of the Delhi you will find whole place is decked up with bulbs and national flags. Standing with your back to Rashtrapati Bhawan you can see hundreds of saffron, white and greens fluttering symmetrically on both sides of Rajpath. Well you can't, stand there all day feeling patriotic with the wind in your hair and the gentle sun nourishing your body, and the delicate jail work breaks the monotony of stone.

how  to  go  nainital
asked by pat on Aug 15, 2008 11:09 AM (6 days ago)
Hi!  You  can  go  Nanital  by  Private  Car,  Busses  or  by  train.  YOu  can  take  bus  from  Anand  Vihar  Bus  Terminal  and  the  bus  will  drop  you  at  0  km  from  mall  road.  You  can  go  by  train  also  but  it  can  take  you  till  Haldwani  and  from  there  you  need  to  take  bus  to  Nainital  so  bus  is  the  best  option.

Thanks!

Dear  Pat,  There  are  three  options  to  rech  Nainital  from  delhi:-

By  Air  -  The  nearest  domestic  Airport  is  Palam  Airport  at  New  Delhi  (304  kms),  although  Phool  bagh  being  the  nearest  airport  72  kms  from  Nainital  (but  after  the  termination  of  Vayudoot  services  it  has  become  nonoperational  for  general  public).  The  nearest  International  airport  is  Indira  Gandhi-International  airport  at  New  Delhi.

By  Rail  -  Kathgodam  is  the  nearest  railhead  i.e.  34  kms  from  Nainital.  It  is  well  connected  to  other  major  cities  like  New  Delhi,  Calcutta  &  Lucknow  by  regular  and  express  trains.

By  Bus  -  Nainital  has  good  road  network  &  well  connected  to  the  major  cities,  there  regular  buses  from  Delhi,  it  take  8  hours  to  reach  Nainital,  you  can  choose  the  U.P.  State  Transport,  Delhi  transport  Corp.  or  private  deluxe  coaches.  from  Delhi.

Thanks
