Hi, I am originally from West Bengal but was staying in Mumbai for the last eight years. It is the commercial capital of India and is a vibrant city with a lot of sightseeing options. Most people like to enjoy the weekend and hence in and around a lot of places like Mahabaleshwar, Matheran, Lonavala has become very popular. Also people goes on pilgrimage to Shirdi, Trimbakeshwar, Kolhapur and the very quiet hill station Panhala etc. I have a good knowledge of these places and can make your stay memorable. I will be able to guide visitors to places of the interest. And the most important I am very keen in providing the best service within the budget of the visitors.

mumbai-central Question Answers
Hello Yogita... Thanks very much for your answer to my inquiry about what to do in a very short visit to Mumbai, one or two days only, on a flight from New Zealand to London. I appreciate your input, but let's try again. With greatest respect, I must tell you I have no interest in most of what you mention. My interests are in cultural sights, historical sites, museums, other educational sites, natural wonders, etcetera. You do mention an Iskcon Temple, and that may be something I would like to see. Could you be kind enough to suggest some things I might like to see...or could you recommend a site where I could learn more? Thank you very much indeed.

Hey Charley acc to ur interest I can suggest u some more places Mumbai south offers historical monuments with great architectural ethics while on the other hand mumbai west has got various temples and beaches, to offer. Places worth visiting in Mumbai south r Flora-fountain, Hutatma chawk ,Gateway of India , Rajabai tower, British council building, Mumbai mahapalika building, CST station & you cant miss the Elephanta caves .There r many museums to see eg. Victoria and albert museum, Prince of wales museum, Nehru science center, Jehangir art gallery, BNHS .Marine drive which is also called Queens Necklace because of its sparkling nights is nice area to scroll and relax in the evening hours. Coming to Mumbai west,U can hang around on beaches like chowpatty and Juhu. Go to Hajiali Dargah located in the middle of the sea and can b go there during low tide. U can also go to Mahalaxmi temple and mumbadevi temple which is nearer to Hajiali dargah. if u r looking out for some places for excursions try Khopoli,Lonavla,Khandala or Matheran which falls in mumbai’s vicinity….For more information u can log on to http://www.emumbaitourism.com/places-to-see-mumbai/index.html or http://www.lonelyplanet.com/worldguide/destinations/asia/india/mumbai/see?a=browse http://www.indiatourism.com/mumbai-tourism/places-see.html http://www.bombay-india.net/ http://www.indiasite.com/maharashtra/mumbai/entertainment.html
