Hi, I am originally from West Bengal but was staying in Mumbai for the last eight years. It is the commercial capital of India and is a vibrant city with a lot of sightseeing options. Most people like to enjoy the weekend and hence in and around a lot of places like Mahabaleshwar, Matheran, Lonavala has become very popular. Also people goes on pilgrimage to Shirdi, Trimbakeshwar, Kolhapur and the very quiet hill station Panhala etc. I have a good knowledge of these places and can make your stay memorable. I will be able to guide visitors to places of the interest. And the most important I am very keen in providing the best service within the budget of the visitors.

There  are  two  routes  -  One  is  via  Navi  Mumbai  &  the  other  is  via  Thane-Borivali.
If  the  bus  takes  you  via  Navi  Mumbai  -  Its  adviceable  to  get  down  at  Vashi  &  take  a  connecting  cab  or  rick  from  there.
Alternatively  if  it  goes  via  Borivali  &  Thane  -  Get  down  at  Thane  @  take  a  connecting  cab  from  there.
However  you  can  take  some  more  tips  from  the  Bus  Driver/Conductor.  It  will  help.

Is  Panvel  or  Vasai  Road  is  the  nearest  in  Sahar  Airport  ?  is  available  trains  to  this  stations  from  airport    ?
asked by KAINIKKARA on Dec 23, 2006 10:47 AM (625 days ago)
Sahar  airport  is  situated  in  Andheri(east),so  in  comparision  to  Panvel  &  Vasai,Vasai  is  more  nearer  to  Sahar  Airport. As  long  as  trains  are  concerned  travelling  from  vasai  to  andheri  is  not  at  all  a  problem  as  there  is  a  good  frequency  of  local  trains  travelling  from  Virar-Churchgate  every  5min.And  as  panvel  falls  in  the  harbour  side  of  Mumbai  for  you  to  reach  andheri  would  be  very  inconvenient  as  it  requires  changing  of  trains  either  from  Vadala  station  or  Kurla. So  to  keep  it  short  sahar  airport  will  be  more  feasible  from  Vasai  rather  than  Panvel  atleast  if  you  r  looking  out  for  railway  mode.
replied by CityGuide: pooja on Dec 23, 2006 11:59 AM (625 days ago)
Neither  panvel  or  vasai  road  is  nearest  to  sahar  airport,  but  there  r  transport  facility  avialable  to  reach  this  place.  From  Panvel  u  can  catch    harbor  line  train  to  reach  upto  Andheri  but  make  sure  that  u  have  to  change  the  train  in  Vadala  and  catch  another  train  for  andheri,  Sahar  airport  is  in  Andheri  (east).  From  Vasai  there  r  Slow  as  wel  as  fast  trains  of  western  line  available  towards  Andheri  so  no  problem  of  transport    from  vasai.

From  pune  there  r  many  state  transport  buses  upto  Dadar  or  u  can  take  luxury  bus  also. After  reaching  Dadar  u  can  go  by  3  ways  1)  Local  train  2)  Bus  3)  Taxi  ,  Taxi  would  b  more  Convenient  for  u,  Zenith  house  comes  just  opposite    to    Mahalaxmi  race  course. If  ur  comming  by  ur  own  vehicle  then  u  can  come  via  mumbai-pune  Express  highway,  sion-punvel  highway,  Keshawrao  khade  marg  hajialidarga,  mahalkshmi  race  course.

Mr.Singh  m  sure  yogita  must  have  solved  your  problem  but  just  to  add  up  if  you  are  not  coming  by  ur  vehicle, after  reaching  Dadar  coming  to  Mahalaxmi  by  local  train  is  the  most  convenient  option  &  from  Mahalaxmi  station  ICICI  LOMBARD  is  at  a  walking  distance  in  Mahalaxmi(west). Its  towards  bombay  central  side  right  at  the  end  of  the  fly-over  bridge  &  opposite  to  Mahalaxmi  race  course.

asked by phoenix on Dec 20, 2006 02:58 AM (628 days ago)
No  ,its  one  n  the  same.
replied by CityGuide: pooja on Dec 20, 2006 02:20 PM (628 days ago)
VT  and  CST  r  not  different  stations.  VT  is  old  name  ie  Victoria  Terminus  and  CST  is  a  new  name  ie  Chatrapati  Shivaji  Terminus,  so  its  one  and  the  same  station  situated  just  near  by  Gateway  of  India

Which  is  the  best  restaurant  in  South  Mumbai.  I  have  heard  a  lot  about  Tendulkars  but  is  it  really  good  or  its  just  famous  because  of  its  celebrity  stuff.
asked by globetrotter on Dec 20, 2006 02:50 AM (628 days ago)
There  r  many  good  restaurants  in  South  Mumbai,  but  if  u  want    to  eat  excellent  food  stuff  then  u  must  try  Celebrations,  Excellensea,  Foodinn,  Gajalee.  and  if  u  r  a  see  food  lover  then  Tendulkars  is  also  a  best  option  because  they  r  serving  different  varities  of  sea  food  with  sizzling  taste  and  just  forget  abt  celebrity  stuff.
