Parineeta

Vidhu Vinod Chopra produced and Pradeep Sircar directed Parineeta was a stylishly made film that captured the essence of the novel of the same name by the Bengali littérateur Sharat Chandra Chattopadhay. The film was a big hit for melodious songs, excellent cinematography and period costumes. The film captures the era of 60’s very well and takes you back memory lane on idyllic locations.

Day 1 On arrival at Kolkata airport/railway station

Day 2 Kolkata

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for the sightseeing of places which have been included in the movie Parineeta e.g, Lake Road, Bidhan Sarani and Babu Ghat. The Durga Puja sequence where the priest performed Aarti was during the Navami, day of the puja at the pandals of the Samajsebi Sangha Sarbojanin Durga Puja in south Kolkata’s Lake Road. In the evening at board the train for NJP Railway Station.

Day 3 Darjeeling

Pick up from NJP Railway Station and drop to the hotel in Darjeeling. The locales of Darjeeling have been captured in the movie. After some rest, proceed to visit the places included in the movie. Take the ride of the toy train, in which the song “Kasto Maza” have been shot.Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 End of the tour

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for your onward journey.
