It's the place to ask questions and get real answers from City Experts who are real people or other users. It's fun and educational because you get to ask questions on any topic related to travel. You can also help people out by answering others' questions. It's all about sharing-what you know and what you want to know-so don't keep those questions and answers to yourself...jump in and start sharing!

How is Ask City Experts different from a chat room?

Ask City Experts is a place for people to ask and answer questions in order to share knowledge on travel. Unlike a chat room, Ask City Experts is not a place for people to ask each other how they're doing or "talk" when they're bored.

Does it cost money to participate?

Nope, that's one of the best things about Ask City Experts – it's absolutely free. All you have to do is log in to your IndiaHotelReview account to share in the wealth of travel knowledge generated by the IndiaHotelReview! Ask City Experts community.

How do I ask a question? 

• Login in to your IndiaHotelReview Account or if you are a new user register first.
• Go to the respective city page on which you want to ask questions or have queries.
• Type in your answer in the text box on the top middle of the page and click "Ask City Expert" button.
• Add any details that will help city experts or people answer it.
• Once you are logged in you can view your question.
• Remember: the clearer your question, the more likely you'll get really good answers. Give Details to provide additional information and further clarify your question.
• Taking the time to choose the right city will also help ensure your question is answered by the city expert of the city u have your query on.

Once I submit my question, can I still edit or delete it?

Yes, you can edit and delete your question. You have to login and delete your previous question and then edit and ask your question again.

How will I know when my question has been answered?

When ever your question gets answered you will automatically get an email notifying that it has been answered.

When questions or answers are reported for abuse, are they automatically deleted?

No. Each abuse report is reviewed by the administrator, who determines the appropriate action. It is not possible to "attack" someone by repeatedly reporting them for abuse, because deletions are not automatic.

Why was my question, answer, or comment deleted?

IndiaHotelReview does not edit the content of questions, answers, or comments in Ask City Experts! However, we reserve the right to remove content that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be inappropriate and/or in violation of the Ask City Experts!  Community Guidelines or the IndiaHotelReview Terms of Service. Depending on the level of offense, the offender risks deactivation of their IndiaHotelReview ID. If you are unsure whether your content is appropriate or consistent with these policies, please err on the side of caution and do not post it on Ask City Experts!

What type of questions should I ask “The City Experts” ?

We only encourage travel related questions / queries. Please ask any travel related questions / queries as we don't encourage non travel related questions / queries. For eg. you have a question about hotel rates, accommodation, local transport, address of hotels, distance between places, weekend getaways, hideaways, local picnic spots, entertainment spots, nightlife, local weather, travel tips, general info, getting there by road, rail and air, best time to visit, culture, festivals, religious places, attractions, places to see, shopping, dinning, restaurants, etc.

What should be the length of the question I am asking?

Be descriptive and to the point. Detail description of your requirement will help the city experts to answer you better.

You have a travel related query on for a city/town. Where to ask?

Please go the city/town page on which you have question/query and ask on the city expert page of that city/town. Please don’t ask questions on city/town on any other city/town, i.e. if you have a question on Delhi don’t ask on Agra city expert page.

When my question will get answered?

We commit 24 hrs revert back time. The City Experts usually answer your questions within 24 hrs.

How many questions can be asked at a time?

You can ask as many questions as you can, but don’t repeat the same question.
