It is one of those resorts which can only be reached by road. The rooms of these resorts are very clean, well furnished, charming, homely and full of character as the views they offer. Matheran is full of woods and that makes one feel amazing. Nature of Matheran is also very dominating experience that one has and also increases ones energy level. Matheran is almost about 70 kilometers from Thane. From there one can take train to Neral from Mumbai and then take the toy train to reach Matheran. There is some food in Matheran to be enjoyed. The best thing which is mouth watering in Matheran is the Chikki which is made of gram flour, jaggery and cashew nuts. It is just 5 kilometers far from the toy train station. So whenever one gets some type of the travel bug bites next, and you are ready to leave the city behind just for a while, here is where one can cum and forget the noise pollution and dirty air pollution.
