| I recently visited Yercaud and booked 2 rooms (Silent Valley View Room) through Hammock holidays. The hotel guys charge an additional amount for the silent valley view room which I was happy to pay as I was very particular about getting a good view from the room.
At the time of check-in, the front desk guy was in a hurry to give me some rooms as silent valley view rooms. I asked if I can check the rooms to which he obliged and while I was leaving to check the rooms, he says you can check the rooms, but those are the only rooms that are available anyway. When I went and checked the rooms I was hugely disappointed. The room had a view of the roof of an extension of the hotel and hardly any view of the so called silent valley.(I have the pictures of the view from the room which I will be happy to post if the website allows me...anyway you can check this out in my album).
