| MTDC hotel is closest to Dasturi car park, hence ideal for those who do not fancy a long trudge immediately on arrival. The deluxe cottages are in the midst of the jungle overlooking the toy train tracks. Rooms are clean but basic, staff are very nice. Major drawback is the food, the canteen contractor is surly and unhelpful. Diwadkars in the market place is best for food but involves a 30min uphill trudge. MTDC is well located for those who want to visit Garbut, Berry and Panorama Points. These are least frequented by tourists and a nature lovers paradise. Tip: walk along rlwy track to reach market. Carry thick soled walking shoes and walking stick or bamboo. Monkeys will wake you up at 6am by jumping on and sliding down your roof! |
