The climate of Darjeeling is pleasant and serene. It has perfect climate for anyone wishing to have a vacation. There are mainly three seasons experienced on the land viz, summer, winter and monsoon season. The monsoon season starts at May end. And continues up to September. There may be occasional rains during the first half of October if the monsoon is prolonged. November is generally dry, and visibility is excellent during the first half of December, though it's usually cold by then. After the middle of December there are occasional snowfalls. The temperature in summers is around 15 to 25 degrees centigrade and in winter the temperature falls drastically to about 2 to 10 degrees.
