Even though its part of pilgrimage, a trip to the Mansa Devi Temple about a kilometer and a half up hills from Haridwar is something no one will ever forget. The kids will enjoy the ride on the cable car which carries devotes up above the valley and the Ganges snaking slowly off at the foot hills of the mighty Himalayas.
Muni Ke Reti, just off Rishikesh also offers excellent rafting chances on the Ganges as she gurgles past. It is an adventure sport and it is advisable that you be with the children all the time.
