There is an airport near Leh. It is at a distance of approximately 7 km from Leh. There are regular flights from Delhi to Leh. In terms of air transport, the lovely province is well connected with all other important places in the country. Many airline operators connect the wondrous town to many important cities like Chandigarh, Jammu, Srinagar and Delhi. In deep winters, the fog can lead to cancellation of flights.
By Rail
The closest railway station from Leh is Jammu, which is at a distance of around 739 kms. There are railway routes connected from Jammu to major destinations of the country.
By Road
For road transport to Leh there are land routes linking Leh with Srinagar and Manali. The Leh-Srinagar road is generally open from June to October, while the Leh-Manali route is unlocked from July to September.
