Manali Travel Guide

Culture

Conventionally, Manali is a Hindu town. Most populace of the city comprise of Hindus. The important shrines in the city are dedicated to goddess Hadimba and Manu. In modern times, however, a large population of Tibetan refugees have come and resided in the area. They have set up a mini-township with idiosyncratic gomphas (monasteries) and prayer flags shuddering across the houses.
