Mukteswar - Another major tourist attraction for the serene view it gives of the Great Himalaya, this place is at a distance of just 52 kilometers from Nainital. It also has the Indian Veterinary Research Institute. Another attraction of this place is rich orchards.
Almora - Another hill station situated to the north of Nainital has a strange shape like that of a horse shaped ridge. It’s because of the mountains that surround this place. Some of the major attractions of this place are G. B. Pant Museum, Kasar Devi Temple, Chitai Temple, and Udyotchandesvar Temple.
Ranikhet - Also known as the “queens paddy field” this beautiful hill station is just 59 kilometers way from Nainital. It is situate at an altitude of 1829 meters from the sea level.
The winters here are too chilly. This is a very quiet place as this place has not become so much popular like other hill stations. Places to visit here are Chaubatia Garden, the Golf Course and the Mall.
Jim Corbett National Park - This is the oldest national park in India. A very important and popular name in India, this park covers an area of 63 kilometers. This national park has a wide and large variety of animals and birds. In fact there are around 600 species of birds in this park! Animals found in this park include elephant, chital, tiger, sambargharial, King Cobra, , nilgai, muntjac, wild boar, common musk shrew, hedgehog, , flying fox, Indian Pangolin.
Kausani - Looking to escape from the din and dust, hustle and bustle of big cities for a quiet holiday in the lap of nature. Nestled among dense pine forests atop a narrow ridge, it offers an incredible 300-km wide view of the Himalayan ranges. Eulogised by poets, Kausani, 123kms away is a heady mix of history, pilgrimage and adventure.
Baijnath - Barely is 19 km from Kausani towards Bageshwar are these ancient temples of Shiva, Ganesha, Parvati, Chandalika, Kuber, Surya, and Brahma.
Jageshwar - Counted among the 12 Jyotirlingas in the country, Jageshwar lies in a beautiful valley of green deodars. There are over a 100 shrines, all rich in sculptures. Don't miss the shrines of Jageshwar, Mrityunjaya and Pushtidevi, the most important and the prettiest. The carvings here have distinct Buddhist influences. Jageshwar is about 100 km from Nainital.
