The major attractions of the mesmerizing city of Ooty are:

• Government museum – This museum was set up in 1989, with a vision to offer edification benefits to the residing and visiting population of Nilgiris district. The museum has stuff of ethnic objects, district's ecological details and representative sculptural arts and crafts of Tamil Nadu.
• Botanical Garden – This is the chief tourist attraction for the people who land onto this tranquil land of hills. The gardens are spread over a land area of around 50-acres. It lies beneath the highest point of Ooty, which is the Dodabetta peak.
• Kalhatty Falls – This is also one of the major tourists hold in Ooty. The water cascades down a height of approximately 122m.
• Ooty Lake – This lovely lake in Ooty is also a favorite place for the visitors. It was constructed in the year 1825 in order to provide an irrigation tank to the people.
• View Points – - ooty is famous for the most dazzling viewpoints from where one can get the most panoramic looks of the whole ooty hill station. The best viewpoints here are Green Valley viewpoint, Pillar Rocks, and the Dolphin's Nose.  
• Fairy Falls – Fairy Falls are a eminent destination for picnics among localities.
