Important Getways

The major getaways from Ooty are:

• Moving east from the southeast direction of Ooty will take you to Coonoor, which is a small yet beautiful town. It has much to boast of Sim's Park, Dolphin's Nose, Lamb's Rock and by and large appealing landscape.
• Heading in the east direction from Ooty, about 28 kms far there is a place called Kotagiri, which is worth a halt. It is a great place to visit. The breathtakingly beautiful landscape of the town makes it an important getaway from Ooty.
• Ten kilometers out of Ooty is the enormous Doddabetta Peak, the highest in the Nilgiri chain of mountains. It stands at about 2623 m and a great view to see.
