Some of the major churches are St. Stephen's Church, Union Church, Holy Trinity Church, Thomas Church, Sacred Heart Church, St.Mary's Church, St. Theresas Church and Kandal Shrine. Then there are mosques as well in the city. One of the most popular mosque is the Big Mosque.
