Shimla also is an expedient pedestal for a range of adventure sports like Skiing, Trekking, Fishing and Golfing etc There is a golf course at Naldhera which is about 23 kms from Shimla. The skiing season normally instates in the first fortnight of January and continues till Mid-March depending upon snow conditions. The Shimla-Kinnaur region offers some exciting trekking opportunities viz. Shimla has the only natural ice-skating rink in India.
