Panchmarhi, the only hill resort of Madhya Pradesh, is an area shaded by evergreen trees in the plateau of the Satpura range. The beauty of the area has been enhanced by two red sandstone mountains. At dawn and dusk, the area is bathed in an aureole of bluish-red light reflected by the Dhupgarh and Mahadev hills respectively.
